Thank you for visiting Simba Group (“Simba”, “we”, “our”, “us”). Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect information that you provide to us when you interact with any Simba Group company, our websites (including simba.com.ng and sub-domains), retail outlets, customer-service channels, and our business messaging solutions such as the WhatsApp Business App (“Services”).

1. Who we are
Simba Group is a Nigerian conglomerate founded in 1988 and headquartered at 77/79 Eric Moore Road, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. Our Group Companies include—without limitation—Wandel International, Simba Industries, Simba Infrastructure, SimbaNET, Simba Agric, and The Simba Den. References in this Privacy Policy to “Simba Group” cover these entities unless a specific subsidiary maintains its own privacy notice.

2. Scope
This Policy applies to:

Visitors to any Simba-owned website or mobile site

Shoppers and service users at The Simba Den and other Simba retail points

Customers and business partners who communicate with us by phone, email, social media, live chat, or WhatsApp Business

Job applicants and career enquirers

Attendees of Simba-sponsored events, trainings or promotions

It does not apply to third-party sites or services that may be linked from our platforms. If you access those, their own policies govern.

We do not intentionally collect data about children under 16 unless a parent or guardian provides it (e.g., for product registrations).

We never sell your personal data.

7. International transfers
Simba Group primarily stores data in Nigeria, but some vendors operate in the European Economic Area, the US or other regions. Where data leaves Nigeria we ensure a lawful transfer mechanism (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision).

8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary:

Warranty & service records – length of warranty + 7 years

Financial transactions – 6 years for tax audit purposes

Marketing data – until you withdraw consent or 24 months after last engagement

WhatsApp chat transcripts – 18 months, unless a longer business need exists

When retention ends, data are securely deleted or anonymised.

9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards—including encryption, access controls, and staff training—to protect data from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. No system is 100 % secure, so we encourage you to use unique, strong passwords and to contact us immediately if you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure.

10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Request deletion (‘right to be forgotten’)

Object to or restrict processing

11. WhatsApp Business-specific disclosures
If you message us via WhatsApp Business:

WhatsApp LLC (a Meta company) acts as an independent data controller for delivering messages and enforcing its own terms and privacy policy.

We receive your WhatsApp profile name, phone number, country information, and message content.

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiries, send transactional updates or—if you consent—marketing communications.

Chat data may be synced to our CRM to provide a unified service experience, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

12. Links to third-party sites
Our websites may contain links to external sites (e.g., social networks, payment gateways). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies before submitting any personal data.

13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If changes significantly affect your rights, we will notify you via email, website banner or WhatsApp message where feasible.
